The Student Information Technology Advisory Committee is an organization of students and RMU's Information Technology management team whose purpose is to identify technology trends and improve technology services for RMU students. Through this organization students have a voice in campus technology decisions.
Meetings are discussions on new projects, emerging technologies, ideas to improve existing services, and involvement of students in campus technology projects; brainstorming ideas to educate the campus community on available technology; and industry guest speakers. Membership is by application through Student Life.

Meet the Committee:
Mike Boylan: (Program Director) Mike is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems and is expecting to graduate in Spring 2013. Mike is a presidential scholar, blogs, is an expert in most things Apple, and is an IT Student Associate Systems Administrator. James Chiaramonte: Jimmy is a graduate student pursuing a Masters of Science in Information Security &
Assurance and has already completed his Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems. At RMU Jimmy has completed an internship on the SharePoint Web Team, managed the ResNet office, and is now an Associate Systems Administrator.
Callista Goss: Callista is a junior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Competitive Intelligence/Computer Information Systems and expected to graduate in May 2012. She is from Altoona, PA and currently lives in Carnegie, PA while attending classes at RMU. This past summer she was an MIS intern at Kopp Glass and she currently works for Geek Squad. At RMU, Callista is involved with ACM (the Association of Computing and Machinery).
Jesse Hank: Jesse is a freshmen pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems/minor in Math at RMU and is expecting to graduate in May 2014. He lives on campus as a resident student and is from Coraopolis, PA. Jesse enjoys playing chess, fixing computers, and gaming.
James Jermany: James is a junior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering and is expecting to graduate in Spring 2012. James is from Pittsburgh, PA and currently lives in Lexington Hall as a Resident Assistant. James was a Software Engineering Intern over the summer and is now employed at ResNet. At RMU he is involved in the Association for Computing Machinery (President), the Black Student Union, the Multicultural Affairs Consortium, and is a student member of the RMU Middle States Committee. Raina Kanakis: Raina is a junior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems planning to graduate in May 2012. She is from Ambridge, PA. At RMU Raina works at ResNet as a technician and for Parkhurst as a caterer. On campus she is involved with NSCS (National Society of Collegiate Scholars). She is interested in technology and social media and has traveled to Greece.
Max Morrow: Max is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems and is expecting to graduate in Fall 2013. Max lives on campus, works at the ResNet office, and is originally from Bridgeville, PA. This past summer Max worked with Dr. Branvold to program a sports management simulation program. Chris Murone: (Vice President) Chris is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering in the Co-Op program, as well as a minor in Theatre. Chris is expecting to graduate in Spring 2013. 
Chris is from Grove City, PA and is a Resident Assistant in Washington Hall. This past summer Chris was employed by RMU for various projects and established the IT Facebook page. Chris also works for the Pittsburgh Musical Theatre as a sound designer. Derek Phillips: (President) Derek is a senior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information 
Systems and Masters of Science in IT Project Management in RMU's Integrated Program. He is expected to graduate in Fall 2011 with both degrees. Derek is from Punxsutawney, PA and currently lives in Moon Township. Derek has been an IT summer intern for RMU responsible for updating the IT web pages, and works for the IT Help Desk and also TJMaxx. Kim Topolewski: (Secretary) Kim is a junior pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Competitive Intelligence Systems and is expecting to graduate in Spring 2012. Kim is from Economy, PA and works at the ResNet office on campus and was an intern at Management Science Associates this summer in Pittsburgh. On campus Kim is involved with Zeta Tau Alpha, National Society of Leadership & Success, American Marketing Association and College Republicans. Shane Spinneweber: Shane is a freshmen pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Sytems with a concentration in Cyber Forensics and Information Security. He is from Pittsburgh, PA but now lives on campus as a resident student. At RMU Shane works for the Help Desk and is involved with the Ski/snowboarding club as well as a member of the Promise Students Organization. For fun he likes to skateboard, bike, weightlift, fish and his interests are technology and computers.
