Adult Ice Skills

2024-2025 Fall/Winter/Spring - Adult Hockey Development

The Adult Hockey Development program is designed to give adult hockey players an opportunity to improve and update their hockey skating and individual skills for today's game. Whether you are a rookie who is looking to break into the game or a veteran trying to refine your skills our staff of professionals instructors will challenge you to become a better hockey player.

Each week players will participate in an 80 minute on ice session that will target skating, shooting, passing, stick handling, and team tactical skills such as 1 on 1, 2 on 1, 3 on 2, etc. Use of small groups and dynamic drills will further enhance the learning environment.

Skating instruction will be given by RMU Hockey Academy Director of Hockey Skating, Marianne Watkins. Marianne is one of the most highly sought after skating coaches in North America. With over 30 years of hockey skating coaching behind her, Marianne has developed the ability to work with players from every age group and ability level.

Hockey Skills will be taught by a variety of RMU Hockey Academy coaches that have been hand-selected based on their coaching and playing backgrounds.

This is a co-ed friendly program that is open to adult players of all ages and abilities.  Each week players will be guided through a warm up before being split into 2 groups based on their background.."rookie" or "veteran"

Players that are newer to the game and are working on basic skating and puck handling skills should opt for the rookie group while players with strong skating and puck handling that want to focus on updating skills and techniques should opt for the veteran group.
