Marianne Watkins, Hockey Skating Director for Robert Morris University Island Sports Center, presented at the 30th annual Roger Neilson Coaches Clinic at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario.

She was the first female to speak at the clinic 5 years ago. Watkins spoke about the importance of efficiency on the ice in relation to skating.

In her coaching history, she has worked with some of the greats … Chris Pronger, Tie Domi, Jamie Langenbrunner, and Darren McCarty. She was also the exclusive coach for Wayne Gretzky’s Future Stars camps.

Watkins protégées have succeeded to numerous teams within the NHL, like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, and even the Pittsburgh Penguins.
