2025 Summer Camp Information
Now entering our 21st season, the RMU Hockey Academy has become Pittsburgh's premier hockey camp destination. Our goal is to provide players with an unparalleled camp experience that is competitive, challenging, and most of all fun.
Our low instructor to student ratio enables us to ensure each participant will receive individual attention throughout our camp, further enhancing the development of their overall skill set. Players should register for programs based upon their USA Hockey 2025-26 age classification.
Lead by two full-time hockey directors, our camps utilize players and coaches that have enjoyed success at the professional, college, junior, and Olympic levels. Each instructor has been handpicked for their hockey knowledge but more importantly, their ability to TEACH the skills of the game.

After 2, 3, or maybe even 4 years of cross-ice and half-ice hockey, your 2016 birth year player finally gets to bump up to the full ice game.....but now what?
The full ice game presents players with a whole new set of rules and challenges including positions, changing on the fly, faceoffs, and let's face it, a much larger ice surface to navigate.
Our Mite to Squirt Transition camp is designed to introduce full ice concepts to players in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Each day we will introduce and review new terminology, rules, positional play and team play concepts through a classroom setting and the use of our sports court before hitting the ice for situational drills and controlled scrimmages. The camp will conclude with a full ice game including referees!

By far one of the most difficult and demanding positions to play in hockey; the goalie position has become much more than just standing in front of the net to block shots. Goaltenders today must be athletic and agile, have a solid foundation in skating skills including goalie specific movements and possess the ability to read and anticipate the play in order to employ the right save selection or technique.
Our goalie camp is ideal for young goalies looking to acquire the building blocks necessary to achieve long term success in the games hardest position.
We have a limited number of goalie sets that can be signed out while participating in this camp. This is a great opportunity for interested players to experience the position without the commitment of buying equipment first. For additional details please email Jake Coleman at colemanj@rmu.edu
