Summer FS Training Program - Policies & Procedures

RMU Island Sports Center Figure Skating Academy Summer Figure Skating Training Program – Policies & Procedures

1. Monthly Ice Packages
To stay consistent with our regular season program, the FSAcademy will continue offer summer monthly ice packages.  Monthly ice packages will be available for the Summer Figure Skating Training Program during June, July, and August

The policies for purchasing monthly ice packages in the summer will stay the same as the regular season policies and only 2024-25 FSAcademy members may purchase and use a monthly ice package.

2. FSAcademy Membership Requirement
Only 2024–25 FSAcademy Members are eligible to purchase monthly ice packages. Siblings and immediate family members may share an ice package, but all participating skaters must be current FSAcademy Members.

3. Package Expiration Policy
Each monthly ice package expires at the end of the month in which it was first used. All sessions must be used within that month. Unused sessions will not be credited, refunded, or carried over to the following month.

4. Purchasing Additional Packages
If a skater uses all sessions before the end of the month, they may purchase another monthly package or use appropriate walk-on sessions (member or non-member rates apply). New packages still expire at the end of the month, regardless of purchase date.

5. Non-Member Sessions
All non-FSA members will skate at the non-member rate and/or my purchase pre-paid walk-ons which will expire August 31, 2025.

6. Ice Time Scheduling
All skaters pre-purchasing ice time, monthly ice packages or pre-paid walk-on sessions, will need to consider their summer monthly skating needs.  There will be no refunds or credits for vacations, camps, competitions, test sessions or any other event which may change a skater's skating schedule throughout the summer months.

7. Sign-In Procedures
Skaters, parents, or guardians may not alter daily sign-in sheets or individual package/class tracking. Questions must be directed to the on-duty ice monitor.

8. Pre-Payment Requirement
All sessions and classes must be pre-paid before participation. Skaters may register online (preferred) or pay at Guest Services. Receipts (digital or paper) must be presented to the ice monitor before entering the ice or class.

9. No Pay, No Skate
Skaters who do not pre-pay for walk-on fees, packages, or classes will not be permitted to participate in any sessions. No exceptions.

10. Daily Check-In
Skaters must check in with the ice monitor prior to entering the ice or attending a class. If no monitor is present, skaters must check in at Guest Services and provide a receipt if not using a package.

11. Verbal Session Confirmation
Skaters must tell the ice monitor which sessions they will skate upon arrival. The monitor will mark sessions on the daily sign-in sheet and reconcile them daily. Unpaid overskates will be posted to the skater’s account and must be paid before further participation.

12. Walk-On Rates

  • FSAcademy Members: $13/session

  • Non-Members: $15/session

13. Sharing Policy
Immediate family members may share ice packages only, not class passes. All must be current FSAcademy Members.

14. Payment for Overskates
All ice fees must be paid daily. Any overskates must be paid in full before additional sessions or packages can be purchased.

15. Half Session Use
Skaters may only use a half-session when attached to a full session (either before or after). Half sessions cannot be used independently or to create custom time blocks.

16. Walk-On Expiration
All pre-paid walk-ons will expire on August 31, 2025.

17. Class Passes
10-session passes or walk-on access for on- and off-ice classes may be purchased anytime during the summer. All passes expire August 15, 2025. No credits or refunds for unused sessions.
